Congrats to the All Blacks!! We should see a very happy prof. McIndoe this week.

Thanks... probably more accurately a very relieved prof. McIndoe, but I'm certainly a lot happier than I would have been had the French won!

would it be right to call octahedral as square bipyramidal ?

Scott McIndoe said...

Yes, an octahedron is a square bipyramid in which all edge lengths are the same (not necessarily true for a square bipyramid generally).

What material is covered on the midterm?

-What will be on the next midterm?
-Will we be tested on the first part of the course as well (is the midterm cumulative?)
-Will we get some review in-class?

Thank you!!!

See the course website, specifically http://web.uvic.ca/~chem101/NotesForMidterm2Fall2011.pdf

Only cumulative insofar as it builds on previous material - there won't be specific qs on Midterm 1 material.

Yes, you will get some review, as I explained on Friday. But only if you come to class. Which I highly recommend regardless of whether I'm doing review or not...

Not sure where to post questions about chapter 5?
